Over the last seven years, our BarbeCURE campaign has raised over $1.5 million which has funded crucial cancer research from 13 emerging cancer researchers, improving treatments and outcomes for patients.

Previous funds raised from our BarbeCURE campaign have supported researchers like Dr Heather Murray, who is tackling acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), an aggressive blood cancer with a five-year survival rate of less than 30%.

Based at the University of Newcastle, Heather’s groundbreaking research focuses on overcoming treatment resistance, bringing hope for more effective, personalised therapies.
